Coat

Mix one full sachet with a little water and coat 500 g chicken well.

Fry

Deep fry in hot coconut oil on medium flame, a few pieces at a time, for about 8 minutes till crisp.

Serve hot

Do I need flour, ginger-garlic or salt?

No. Ginger, garlic, salt and the flour for the coating are already in the masala.

Which oil should I use?

Coconut oil gives the authentic Kerala thattukada taste. Any frying oil works.

How is it different from Madras 65?

Kerala Chicken Fry uses coarse Kerala spices and is best fried in coconut oil. Madras 65 is the Chennai-style starter.

Worst Coating and No salt

No proper coating and zero salt. Please either include adequate salt or never include so that users can include.
Completely coating removes inside oil, full of colour.
